Subacute Thyroiditis (SAT) is a painful, self-limited inflammation of the thyroid gland. Guidelines recommend Non-Steroid Antiinflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) for mild cases and steroids for moderate to severe cases. Early relapses can be seen in about 9-35%.
